History

Sanatan Dharam Mahila Mahavidyalya, Hansi is a premier institution devoted to the cause of women education, women upliftment and women improvement. The institution  was set up in 1970 under the benign guidance and blessings of Swami Ganesha Nand Ji Maharaj 1008, starting with the admission of 120 students in 1970.

The aim of the Mahavidyalya is to preserve the ancient Indian culture and inculcate the spirit of patriotism and nationalism among the budding young women of the area.

The sapling planted with perseverance and sincere efforts of Late Sh. Kishori Lal Ji, the Founder President and Principal of the college, the founder principal  Miss Sarla Billa, Dr(Mrs.) Balbir Kaur. Its fruits of course, are its students who have won laurels of glory not only in academic fields, but in cultural, sports and co-curricular activities.

The college has been accredited with B+ grade in 2003 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore. The college has now earned a reputation for imparting quality education and a sense of discipline in the younger generations. The college is at present running Bachelor’s degree courses in Arts, Commerce, Science and Master’s degree course in English & Commerce. From the session 2006-2007 some add on courses such as Fashion Designing and Art & designing classes have also been started with the grant of U.G.C. Computer courses are being run in the college . Some professional courses such as Commercial Art & Music are also running in the college.  Every year, the results of various classes are much higher than University results. In some classes, the results are 100%.

I wish that they will put in more lemonade to laminate the names of their teachers, their parents and their institution.
